The mines of Schiefergrube Herrenberg are open for visits and give you an insight in the historical mining of slate and also have fossilised marine creatures on display. The Celts, the Romans and the Franks have all lived here. The citadels and castles of the region represent its history. These and other historical and nature monuments are great destinations for interesting excursions with the whole family.
