Destination Lisbon Region, Portugal

The Lisbon region is a great holiday destination and it includes fashionable seaside resorts such as Cascais and Estoril along the Costa Lisboa, as well as the village of Sintra. The coast is diverse: it has rocks as well as white beaches.

The lively capital Lisbon is definitely worth a visit. It might be a good idea to explore this city by tram, as it has steep hills. How about a stroll through the narrow alleyways of the Bairro Alto, a trendy part of town?

And experience the atmosphere in the, somewhat dilapidated but colourful, working-class district Alfama, Lisbon's oldest district. Here you can stroll along the narrow streets and enjoy the melancholy fado music in one of the fado restaurants or cafés.

The Lisbon region is ideal if you are looking for a holiday with a mixture of beach, city and culture!
