In the region of Trentino-Val di Sole, bordering on the Dolomites in the east and the Lakes in the southwest, you can enjoy the wonderful scenery during your activities in the great outdoors. This region is home to the natural parks of Adamello Brenta and Stelvio.

It also has plenty of interesting nature to offer: mountains, waterfalls, lakes, and forests all come with fresh mountain air and fabulous vistas. If you like walking, mountain biking, horse riding, or more spectacular outdoor activities, this is the place to be. The river Noce runs through the valley and is an ideal spot for rafting, kayaking, hydro speeding, and canyoning.

Trentino-Val di Sole has many lakes. The lakes of Levico and Caldonazzo two large lakes. Both offer opportunities for a holiday on the water. There a number of healing springs, so you can thoroughly enjoy a stay in one of the health resorts, such as those in Pejo or Rabbi.

In addition to beautiful scenery, the region has a wide range of historic heritage to offer, such as Trentino, the provincial capital. The past is particularly tangible in the historic student town centre. Here, you will find buildings of varying architecture and palaces with fabulous frescos.

Trentino-Val di Sole is also a winter paradise – it has excellent skiing opportunities, good snowfall, sun, and an Italian atmosphere!

The Dolomites are the most spectacular mountain range in Italy. It is a beautiful area, with impressive, rugged massifs and high peaks, interspersed with hills, green meadows, rivers, lakes and old villages.

The Dolomites are a paradise for lovers of outdoor activities. There are many signposted routes for walking enthusiasts as well as several routes for mountain biking. If you do not feel like climbing too much, there is always the possibility of going up the mountains by cable lift (for example from Cortina d’Ampezzo). It is also possible to go horse riding, parapenting, rock climbing, kayaking or rafting. On the lakes, such as the lake of Molveno, you can go sailing and wind surfing.

The Seiser Alm natural park (Alpe di Siusi) is a gorgeous walking paradise, with more than 300km of footpaths over mountains and meadows. There is a National Park as well, the Dolomiti-Bellunesi.

In winter, the Dolomites are a winter sports destination, with Cortina d’Ampezzo as its most popular resort. The huge skiing area of Dolomiti-Superski consists of 12 smaller skiing areas and has 1200km of slopes in total. For winter sports with an Italian flavour!

  • The historical town of Trento. Walk in the streets and admire the Medieval buildings, Renaissance palaces and Roman ruins.
  • The waterfall of 'Cascate di Nardis'.
  • Winter sports in Val di Sole.
  • The Natural Park of Adamello Brenta.
  • Stelvio National Park.
    Dolomites:
  • From Molveno you can take a risky cable lift up to Montanara, for a beautiful view of the lake.
  • If you fancy outdoor activities, you could take a beautiful mountain walk in one of the natural parks.
  • Visit the historic town of Feltre, with its old centre.
  • Also pay a visit to Bolzano, a historical town surrounded by vineyards. This town is also an ideal starting point for mountain biking or walking, and you can take a cable lift up the mountains.
